God's Word

Every believer is in a real spiritual battle, and God has equipped us not only to defend ourselves but to fight back with the sword of the Spirit, the word of God. Following Jesus's example in the wilderness, we can resist the enemy's attacks on our appetite, our need for approval, and our ambition by speaking and standing on scripture until the enemy flees.

Every life is being built on some kind of foundation, whether we've thought about it or not, and only one foundation will actually hold when the storms of life come. Jesus teaches that the person who hears His word and does it is like a person who builds on rock, while the one who hears and ignores it builds on sand. Pastor Daniel calls the church to stop chasing followers and impressive lives and instead strengthen the foundation by building on Scripture.
