God's Presence

Pain is part of every life, but it doesn't have to define us — it can point us to prayer instead. Jabez, whose very name meant sorrowful and born in pain, prayed for blessing, increase, God's presence, and protection, and God granted his request, showing that how we pray shapes whether God can move.

Jesus doesn't just do miracles that leave us in awe — He leads us through storms that actually grow our faith. Following Him was never a promise that hardship disappears, but a promise that we get to the other side, and that even little, mustard-seed faith handed to Him can bring about the miraculous.

Jesus meets people in their disappointment, walking alongside them even when they don't recognize Him. When we remember God's promises, learn to recognize His presence, and respond by inviting Him in rather than just admiring Him from a distance, our discouragement can turn into a story that's still being written.
