God's Compassion

Even Jesus, on the day He learned His cousin John the Baptist was murdered, withdrew to be alone — proof that grief and withdrawal are human, not sinful. But Jesus did not stay there: compassion moved Him back toward people, and the very pain He carried became the setup for feeding thousands. Our mourning, given to God, becomes the ministry and the miracle He wants to work through us.

Even in the deepest despair, Jesus is willing to travel far out of His way because your pain matters to Him. In the story of the widow of Nain, He shows that death doesn't have the final word, our stories aren't finished, and the same miracle-working Jesus is still at work today — the greatest miracle being new life offered to anyone who believes.
