We ran because we believed something else was better, not because we doubted God was good

Take it into your week

The way back doesn't require you to behave first before you belong — you just have to turn around, because the Father is already watching for you.

Application

Come to your senses and be honest
Stop rationalizing and simply own it before God the way the son said 'I have sinned' without excuses, whatever that distant land looks like in your life.
Turn back without cleaning yourself up first
Don't wait until you feel worthy or have your life together; just get up and head home, trusting the Father will meet you on the way.
Pray the prayer of recommitment or salvation
Whether for the first time or as a return, confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and give your life to Him right now.
Identify and pursue 'your one'
Write down the name of someone far from God on your wristband, pray for them in faith, and boldly invite them to join you for Easter at Echoes.
