Who's excited to be in church this morning? Are we excited to be in the house? Are y'all not excited? Who's excited to be in church? I thought
I thought we were in the second service. Man, I am so excited to be here. If you haven't had a chance to meet me, my name is Tyshawn Roland. I'm on the teaching team here at Echoes, and I'm not gonna lie. That last sentence was a dream come true. So the fact that I get to be here and serve as as one the teachers and preachers is such an honor. Pastor Daniel is preaching out in Portland. So this week you're stuck with me, but next week he's gonna be back and we're so excited to hear all the things that God is doing in him and what God is gonna continue to do in this series. And I know that this is my third time, I believe, speaking.
And, every time I've come, been able to preach, but no one's ever actually met my wife or my child. And last service, Victoria didn't wanna come to service because she told me she was like, I can't wake up at 08:30. I was like, it's okay. I'm just joking. But my wife is here in the service. She's right in the front. Can you stand up real quick? Victoria,
right there. My beautiful baby, Revere, who I love. Hey, baby girl. Love her so much. Vic, if she gets loud, take her out. You know what I mean? Just joking. But
just just so honored to be here, and I'm excited to stay in the series for what the Lord has been doing. We've been talking about miracles these last few weeks, and we're gonna continue on in that today. I want you to go to Luke
Matthew, I'm sorry, Matthew chapter seven. We're gonna read verse twenty eight and twenty nine. Then we're gonna read chapter eight of verse one through four, and I'm excited to see what the Lord does. I believe that there's a miracle in the house for you. I believe that if you came with just a little bit of expectation,
a little bit of faith that God can speak to you, that you're gonna see that effectively today. So let's read and go to the scriptures again. We're going to
Matthew chapter seven verse 28, it reads like this. And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teachings for he was teaching them at one with authority,
not as one of the scribes. Chapter eight verse one, when he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him and behold a leper came to him knelt before him saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. And Jesus stretched out hand and touched him saying, I will be clean.
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed and Jesus said to him, see that you say nothing to anyone but go and show yourself to the priests. Offer a gift that Moses commanded for proof for them. I wanna preach a simple message entitled willing and able. Willing and able. Let's bow our heads and pray. Heavenly father, I thank you for this opportunity to preach your word to your people. God, I pray that all of us leave change and challenge by your word. God, we give you the glory even before any sentence, any any before any clap or any applause. We just thank you for you and your faithfulness. Lord, we love you, and we are grateful for you in the mighty name of Jesus. And everybody said,
amen and amen. Can we give it up for the incredible worship team? They're here early too, early in the morning. I I'm preaching a message called willing and able because I believe that people need to know that when it comes to our God, when it comes to our savior, when it comes to Jesus Christ,
I think people need to know that he is both willing
and able. If he was only will willing and not able, he would be available to do something, but he wouldn't have the power to do it. It's like the equivalent of the friend that says, hey, if you need anything, call me. And you ain't gonna never call them because they can't do anything. They willing, but they ain't able. You know, you they they can pray, but they can't support in the way that you want to. And then there's people that are able,
that they have the power, they have the finances, they have the connections, they're able, but they're not willing.
Isn't it frustrating to be connected to someone that can do it, but won't do it? Or you're around someone that can do it but doesn't have the power to do it. What I love about Jesus is that he is not just able to do it, but he's willing to do it. He's willing to come down to your level and make an impact to you. He's willing to come down and show you. He's willing to walk with you. And that's what we wanna talk about today because I think this story is so powerful. When you get to Matthew chapter eight, it says in verse one that Jesus is coming down from the mountain. He's coming down from the mountain, and this leper is about to encounter him, which means if he's coming down from the mountain at one point, he was up on the mountain. And I wanna talk about why Jesus was up on that mountain. What was he doing? How did we get to this place? And so the and understand in order to understand Matthew chapter eight, you gotta actually go back to Matthew chapter five. Because Matthew chapter five verse one, you don't have to turn there, but later on if you go home and read the bible and I think that's effective by the way. Like, don't believe everything I say. I could be making this whole thing up, and you gotta you gotta gotta go home and you gotta read the word to make sure that what he's saying is actually true. And when you go home, you'll read in Matthew chapter five that Jesus is going up to the mountain to preach this sermon that most of us would know as the sermon on the mount. This is the sermon where Jesus is about to preach, and the crowds are gonna be astonished for the things that he's about to say. The Sermon on the Mount is where we get the beatitudes from. Blessed are the poor in spirit for they will inherit the kingdom
of earth of the kingdom of God. This is where these things are being said for the first time. As Jesus is preaching, this is where he's gonna talk about, if your neighbor slaps you on one cheek, you should turn and let them smack you on the other, which the devil is a liar. I'm sorry, Jesus. I ain't that sanctified. Hit me if you want to. I'm a tell you this. I'm hitting back in the name of Jesus. Matthew chapter five, in the name though. You say in the name of Jesus, you can do anything. Just smack him in the You know?
Matthew chapter five is where Jesus even talks about lust in a greater way. He'll say it this way, you've heard it said, do not commit adultery. I say, even if you look at a woman or a man with lust in your heart, you have now already committed to adultery.
Jesus begins teaching. When we get to Matthew chapter six, this is where he's gonna teach the crowds for the first time. He's gonna say a prayer. That prayer is what we know as the Lord's prayer. Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our debts as we forget our debtors. And lead us not into temptation
and deliver us from the evil one. The first time Jesus shares this prayer, you gotta understand that the Jewish audience have never heard prayer like this before. They heard Jesus say this in Matthew six, and they're thinking to themselves, wow. That is so simple. They are so used to the the religious metrics that you have to do and the different sacrifices that you have to bring to see Jesus take the complex thing called prayer and make it so relational.
It was something that they never heard before. And Jesus wasn't necessarily just giving them an overview or a script to say as much as he was giving you an outline to follow.
That prayer, the Lord's prayer is an outline. It's it's showing us how to pray. A lot of us go to prayer out of urgency, or we go to God by emergency,
but we actually don't know how to go to God in the way that he orders. And what Jesus is teaching is the prayer to show you the order. He says, our father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. He's not saying when you go to God, ask your needs first.
He's saying before you ask God for anything, thank God for everything. Before you tell him the list of the needs that he knows already, Jesus and God, they're they're more aware of your needs than you are. They
know what you don't know that you need right now for what's coming in three months from now. And you'll look back at right now and be like, oh, I think that's what he was talking about. God is so aware of your needs, but you can't go to him and bring make your needs the focus. You go to him and you make him the focus. You go to him and you say, our father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. That's why for me, when I like to pray, I actually like if you ever see me on the street praying, you'll think I'm a crazy person. And the reason that people think I'm crazy is because I used to pray just with my headphones on, and I look straight, and I would just like walk. You know? So a normal prayer would just be me walking down the street. People would think I'm on the phone. But I don't really pray like that anymore.
Actually, when I pray, I have to get outside of my house. I can pray inside of my house. I don't prefer to. I like going out in the wooded area, and I like just looking up. So if you ever see me walking on the streets, I was praying another other night in Arizona, and this is what you would see.
And the reason that I look up is because I feel like when I look up, I'm reminded of how big he is and how small this is. When
I look up at night and I see the stars and I realize that there's so many and someone specifically put each and every one of them right where they are and they control everything, I'm reminded that the circumstance that I hold is not as much as the universe that he holds. I'm reminded that the clouds that I can't see is not as powerful as the God that I know does see me. I'm reminded when I look up who he is.
And this is not just something I'm saying as a as a preacher. This is something I believe as a believer. Just the other night, I was outside. Me and my wife, we've been here all week planning, doing different things for the crusade coming up in August and just been meeting about it. And honestly, all these meetings I have, someone's like, hey, it's gonna be great. I'm so excited for your faith. It's gonna cost another 10,000. I'm like, 10,000 what? Why is everything costing so much money? And I was getting so frustrated,
and I was looking at my wife. I was like, hey, got my I got her pink headphones. I grabbed her pink headphones. I went outside, and I just started praying.
And I didn't do what I'm telling you to do. I didn't say our father, our heart in heaven. I started off just saying, God, I'm so mad about this, and God, I need this money, and I need this, and God, it cost this much, and this cost. And the Holy Spirit right when I was saying that, just a song came out of my spirit. I don't know. It's a old school song, so some people in this room may know it, some people may not know it, but it was just a few lyrics. I'll never know how much it cost to see my sins on that cross.
I'm out here saying, God, this cost this much money. This cost this much money. And all I hear in my spirit is, I'll never know how much it cost to see my sins upon that cross. And I'm I was like, oh, you are much bigger than me. What a reminder. When Jesus is teaching prayer,
he's teaching this to the people that are hearing it, and they're like, I've never heard. Is this John the Baptist? Is this Elijah?
Who is this man that everyone listens to? And after right after prayer, in Matthew chapter six, immediately, you know what Jesus talks about now in the sermon on the mount? Fasting. He puts prayer and fasting right next to each other. He says, this is how you pray, and then right after that, he says, when you fast, this is how you should do it. In other words, what Jesus is not saying, if you should fast, he's saying when you should fast. I'm gonna encourage everybody in this room, not because it's something that Tyshawn says, it's but something that Jesus instructs.
If you wanna feel closer to God, fast. Fast. I know it sounds so crazy. One meal, some people like, I can't only thing I do is eat fast, bro. I'm not fasting. But just try it out one time. One time. Wake up tomorrow and say, you know what, God? For the next twenty four hours,
I'm gonna withhold from food. I'm gonna drink water. I'm gonna brush my teeth three times throughout the day. Thank you, Jesus. And I'm going to pray during the times I feel hungry. And I'm gonna worship during the times I feel worried. And I'm gonna give all my focus to you.
I'm gonna call my very spiritual friend and say, let's pray for five minutes on the phone. I'm gonna receive that prayer, and I'm gonna go into my Tuesday different. I promise you if you if you get into the habit of fasting,
you will get in the habit of seeing God move in your life faster. Not because he's moving faster, but because you're more aware, because you withheld. Anytime you withhold from the world, it just strengthens your relationship with the Lord. So Jesus is teaching prayer. He's teaching fasting.
Crowds are all listening to Jesus. It would be more people listening to Jesus than there are people in right now. And he's teaching. When he gets to Matthew chapter seven, he starts saying stuff like this, ask and it will be given. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be answered.
Anyone that comes to God, you can come believing that he's faithful. Doesn't he take care of the lilies of the valley? Do they worry? Do they wither? And just like that, he's gonna take care of you. He's teaching all of these things and the crowd are listening in silence.
Now if the leper was there, a leper is a person that has leprosy, and the best way that I can give you an idea of what that was is for you to look back to 2020 when the world was introduced to this thing called COVID. Does anybody remember that?
Do you remember when you got the phone call? I was traveling and preaching, and it's so interesting. As an evangelist, you can really see how the nation is different. Not everyone is the same. Like, people over here are different from the people in Arkansas. People in Georgia are different from the people in California. And you saw that in their responses. I remember jumping on a plane in Georgia. There was no mask.
We didn't see none of us were taken as seriously. We're good. And I went to preach from Georgia, I went to Seattle. And I was like, I've never seen anybody in a hazmat suit.
It was the craziest thing in the world. I was like, is this, like, monsters, ink? What's going on? Like and they were all coming out, and I was making jokes. I I remember I said, was like, I got COVID. They looked at me. I was like, I'm just joking. I'm just joking. I don't even know what COVID is.
Then we got to Ohio. Ohio, they it was the in between. It was like the double mask people. It's like, why are wearing two? Like, what's going on? That's not gonna save you.
And you knew how serious COVID was. You knew how serious you felt about it when someone around you got it. Like, no one took it seriously until you got it. I remember just being like, man, this is not serious. This is oh, babe. I'm tired. I'm sleepy. Babe, I can't taste anything.
And my wife, she is physical touch is her love language. It's one, two, three, four, and 17. She loves physical touch. I hate physical touch.
But during COVID is one thing when you can't get a hug because you're like, hug me. She's like, uh-uh. You stay over there, Demon. I ain't hugging you. You stay right where where where you at. When
you heard about people who had COVID, it was scary. I know I'm making jokes about it and making light of it, but I did see people go through it. I know I know a person, a pastor in my life had to attend his funeral because he got COVID in the surgery. He was older, and he passed. I'm not making it a laughing matter and nor am I tearing it down. I'm really trying to give an example of what leprosy would be like. It would be like COVID, but worse. So this leper,
if he's hearing Jesus preach, you gotta know he's not sitting where my wife is sitting. He's not sitting in the middle of the row. He's not even in this room. You know where he's at? He's outside the room watching on the screen, hearing in the distant wondering, is this true? Is this real? Is this really possible? Ask,
and he'll give you anything. Seek, and you will find knock, and the door will be answered. By the time we get to the end of Matthew chapter seven is the end of the sermon.
And at the end of the sermon, verse twenty eight and twenty nine is the people's response to the preaching of the god of god's word. And the people's response was this. In verse 28, they said that they were all astonished by the teachings of Jesus. And then 29 says, for he was teaching like a man with authority,
not like these people who are scribes. What is he saying? When that man speaks, I sense a power. When that man speaks, I feel a weight. When that man speaks, it's something different. It's like he knows something about God. I know God, but it's like he knows God's differently. It's like there's a connection with him, and they can feel that. They are astonished
when he gets done preaching. And the Bible says in chapter eight, now he's coming down the mountain.
He's coming down the mountain. He's about to come down to the mountain. He's about to make an impact on this leper. Before we go further in the impact, I need you to understand that Jesus coming down the mountain is a representation
of this one thing. Nobody is too far for Jesus to come down. No person is too far. No person is too far. We think that we have to go up the mountain, but what I love about Jesus, he comes down the mountain.
He comes down to where you are. He comes down to your depression. He comes down to your suicidal thoughts. He comes down to the anxiety going through your mind. He comes down to deal with the things that you're going through. The Bible says in Psalms that he walks with us in the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil for your rod and your staff are with me. What is the shadow of death? It's something that feels like death.
It's not death, it's a shadow. It feels like this could kill me. It feels like this is taking me out. It feels like this is horrible. And when you're in the hardest season of your life, sometimes the thing that you want the most is company.
You just want to know if there are anybody out there that understands. I want you to know that Jesus comes down from his mountain And whatever you're going through, whatever you're facing, whatever's on your life, Jesus says, I'm coming down. He'll come down to you if you're struggling.
He'll come down to you if you're successful. Because how many of know you can still have success and have struggle?
One of my friends this few weeks ago called me. We've been believing for something for years for him. He's 28 years old and he the hand of God has been on his life like ever since I met him. I met him when I was 21 years old or 22
and he loves the Lord. As much as I love preaching and building God's church, he feels the same way about business and building God's kingdom, and and he's been believing for a while for a dealership. He needed 2,100,000
for a dealership and I said, hey, I give you prayers, but I only got provision, but I got prayers, bro. God hears me, bro. He listens to black people. He does. So I'll pray for your business and we'll see what happens. And he's been believing for literally
every day. Every day, he writes a sentence down in faith. He's not manifesting it. He's just giving it to the Lord. Every day, he's believing in faith. So it was exciting to me a few weeks ago when he called me and he said, hey, bro. We're doing the deal right now, and I'm purchasing the dealership.
And I could not believe, number one, that he had $2,100,000. I was like, hey brother, give to the ministry. Stop playing with me, bro. Don't be out here super blessed and I'm super broke. That ain't right. I got kids, bro. Come on, stop playing.
But the second thing that he told me was, hey, Tyshawn, could you pray for me? And I thought that was interesting because to me, when I hear millions, I don't think you need prayer. But he showed me that no, you can still have millions and have problems.
You know, a great prophet said one time, more money, more problems, you know, so you never know. Sometimes when you get money, you still get issues,
you still have things that you need to deal with, you still have things that you need to face. And what I've seen is that you can have success and I want you to know that God can come down and help you with that success. You can have sorrow and God will come down and he will walk with you through that sorrow. You can have pain and God will come down and he will walk with you in that pain. Nobody is too far. Nobody is too far. I can imagine this leper hearing
the fact that this man was preaching the way he was preaching. He if I'm this leper, I'm thinking, I wonder I wonder if he can heal me. I mean, everything that he's saying and the way that he's preaching, the way that he's communicating,
I just wonder if I could if I could push through the crowd. Now Leviticus 14 teaches us that you shouldn't be in the room. You shouldn't be in the crowd. You shouldn't even be close.
But sometimes when you've been in their depression and you've been waiting for so long, you just don't care what people say. Have you come to the point where you've had a hard week? I've had some weeks in my life that have been so hard that I've come to church whether I was preaching or just attending, And I worship so hard because I've had a rough week, and I don't even care what people say.
I just don't care. This week has been stressful. This week has been annoying. You have no idea what I've gone through with my family. You have no idea what I've gone through my ministry. You have no idea what my needs are. And sometimes I just come to a church, and I lift my hands and I worship just to be reminded to how big he is and how small I am. And then sometimes you gotta get yourself to the place where you don't care what people think. This
leper said, I don't care what people think. Don't care what the law says because I heard what the Lord says.
And you're either gonna live your life controlled by the law or you're gonna live your life controlled by the Lord. And he says, I'm gonna be controlled by the Lord. It's crazy to know that right when Jesus comes down the mountain, the leper got in front.
I wonder how he did it. Now do you know this that I I wish it was like this with COVID, but it wasn't. When you have leprosy, you have to announce unclean, unclean. You go everywhere and you say unclean, Unclean?
And people will hear it, oh god, he's unclean. And they would just move out of his way, just move out of his way. What I think the leper would did is what I would do. If I had leprosy and I heard Jesus and I'm like, man, there's a crowd of people. I don't know how I'm a get through this crowd. I don't know how I'm a get through.
Unclean. Unclean. Hey, you better not touch me. You're gonna hey, you're get leprosy. Unclean. I would imagine that his desperation made the crowd just move. I would imagine that him just saying unclean. Unclean.
I don't like saying this. I don't like telling people what I'm at, but unclean move. Excuse me. Unclean. And he finally gets in front of Jesus. And what he asked Jesus is this. He says,
if you are willing, not are you able. I think he's asking Jesus if he's willing because I wonder if he's had people walk out of his life willingly. Sometimes I wonder, will people even be willing to take a chance on me? Will people be willing to give me a shot?
Is Jesus willing to give me another chance? I know I told him last time was gonna be my last time, but I messed up again. Is Jesus still willing? I need you to know this. Nothing is too hard for God. Nothing. Nothing.
Not only is he's willing, he's able. He wants to make a difference in your life. He doesn't want you to stay in this situation. Our God is so powerful, he heals. He does miracles and nothing is too hard.
You know, growing up, what really made me fall in love with the preaching of God's word is that when you read the stories and you see what happens. Like these stories of people getting healed, these stories of people experiencing provision,
these stories of water splitting, these stories of people stepping on water, these stories of incredible miracles. As a kid, it got me going. I remember the first time I went to this private Christian school and the first thing that we'd had to do for homework, he said, I want everyone to take their bibles home and I want you to find superpowers and you come back home come back to school and write on it. And I remember going through this bible, finding so many people that had superpowers. To me, people were calling down fire. Elijah
was running faster than chariots. Moses was making, you know, the water stand. There were there were so many things. Was like, man, I love this book. And what I also loved about it was the miracles. It it was powerful to me to see people have a sickness, and then they meet somebody,
he touches them, and they just get healed. I never believed that stuff could happen. Even with church, sometimes that stuff seems theatrical.
Especially, you know, I came from a church, all types of churches, but one of them, hey, when the pastor puts his hand on your forehead, you better fall. If you don't fall, you got a demon. So just fall. You don't you don't want the whole church to think you got a demon now. So we got we got you gotta fall on the floor. And I remember
we were in a season of my life. I was 15 years old, and my mom went to the doctor. My mom was sick for many many years to the point where I just thought some sickness is gonna take her out. I remember being 12 or 13 years old just having this idea that somebody
or something is gonna happen to my mom, some sickness, some disease, something's gonna happen, happen. She's gonna die.
I remember she got a herniated disc, and she had multiple sicknesses, and she had to go to the doctor and have surgeries. And after she had the surgeries, I had to go to the doctor with my mom's friend. And I remember this day vividly, the doctor was there, and they were like, okay. So who lives at the house? There was a few of us in the room and he assumed that we all lived in the house and the two people that brought my mom, they're like, oh no, don't live don't live with them. And she was like, yeah, don't live with them. And he was like, well, who's the man of the house? And I was 15 years old. And I said, I guess me. And he I think he gave me seven different medications
and he walked me through them. He said, okay. So she needs this in the morning. You give her this one after a meal.
This is the one that she has to take with water. She can't just do this one. This one's a chewable, she's gonna chew that one. And then at dinner, if she starts throwing up, you're have to give her this one. And after this one, you're gonna have to give her another one in the middle of the night if she starts throwing up, and then she can't walk. So when your mom needs something, you're gonna have to wake up, son. You're gonna have to give her everything she needs. Can you handle this? And I was like, I got it. Cool. Okay. Seven medications. Here's the thing. Got good memory. We're gonna get this taken care of. How how long is mom gonna be like this, doctor? I'm I'm with it. Just tell me how long. He said, six to seven months. Your mom's not gonna walk.
I said, six to seven months. I remember thinking to myself, by the time this is done, I'm gonna be 16 years old.
You mean to tell me that every day I have to do okay. I'm gonna do it. We went to this church and pastor then the pastor named pastor Benny, he he was an evangelist. So he went all around the world, and he had friends all over. And he said, hey, I'm bringing my friend named Tim Hall from Australia.
And Australians are funny preachers. If you've never heard an Australian preach, just go home and Google Australian preacher. You're gonna enjoy it. Like, you really will. I just love their accent. And I remember he came and he was like, healings follow my ministry. I was like, cool. I looked up some videos. It seemed like everyone he healed, he hurt because they knocked him on the floor. And I was like, if you do that to my mom, sir, I am gonna break your kneecaps. Okay? So that's just what's gonna happen there. I remember that night, my mom's like, I wanna go to the church service. And I promise you, I'm telling this story for a reason. She said, wanna go to this church service. I was like, mom, you you can't go. And she said, I'm going to church.
And I love that about my mom that that even though sometimes people will say, you don't need church. My mom knows. She knows what she needed. That's why it's I'm applauding each and every person in this room that woke up this morning and decided to put your clothes on and come to church. There are some people in this room you did not wanna come today. You did not wanna sit in the church service. Nothing anyone to be here. You're thinking about your friends. You're thinking about lunch. But the fact that you came to church shows me that you have an expectation for your life. Because my mom had expectation when she walked through that door. I remember he was preaching, and he went about five to ten minutes. He opened up the scripture, talked about a healing, and he was like, alright, we're gonna start praying for people,
bringing people on stage. And then it was time to bring my mom up. He looked at my mom. I remember he walks by, and he stares at her. And then I'm like, what you staring at, homie? Like, what you what you looking at? And he sees her walker,
and he asked her the most evil question you can ask somebody with a walker. He's like, do you wanna walk, ma'am? I'm like, what kind of evil man asks a person with their walker? That's like walking up to someone in a wheelchair. You wanna run? Like, of course she wants to walk. Like
and he looks at her and he says, stand. Now I'm looking at him and I'm not looking at my mom. I'm looking at him and he tells my mom, stand in the name of Jesus. And as I'm looking at him and I'm about to go off and say, she can't stand, I just look over and she's moving her walker and she stands up.
And it was just six hours ago that I was with the doctor with seven different medications with an order of all the things. He told me exactly what my mom was gonna be able to do and what she's not gonna be able to do. She was not gonna be able to walk for six weeks. How do I know that? That's when he told me. He said, at best, four and a half weeks, but most likely it's gonna be six. And honestly, looking how it is, it may even be eight. So the fact that it's only been not even eight hours and my mom is standing,
I couldn't I couldn't believe my eyes. So I was like, mom, that's good. Now sit down. He was like, you wanna walk? I was like, no. She's good with standing. Progressive, brother. Come back next year, and then you'll do we'll do this in, you know, in sections. And my mom moves her walker.
She walks around the whole church one time. The church goes wild. I'm not. I'm watching her, and I'm like, this doesn't
this doesn't seem good. Mom, how about you sit down? Just just sit down now. You did one lap. Yay. Woah. This is great. He said, no. Walk around six more times. I'm like, this is not the walls Of Jericho, brother. You don't need to tell her to do this. There's no city being given. My mom walked around seven times.
My mom walked to the car.
My mom walked to the bed. Those seven medications, I never had to do any of them because my mom was able to wake up and grab them the time she needed them. And I can tell you, even right now, my mom is a walking, talking, breathing, singing miracle, and I've seen it happen in my own eyes. I've seen it. I've seen it. I don't I don't I don't believe the things in this book is a fairy tale. I would not commit my life to memorizing a fairy tale Disney Channel movie and going around preaching it. That would seem useless to me because why would you sell people on a fantasy? We gotta sell people on reality. And the reality is that God, if you put your faith in him and even if you don't, sometimes he's just so moved by compassion that he will heal you because nothing is too hard. So if you're in this room and there's a cancer diagnosis,
let me say this. I'm so sorry for that diagnosis.
I'm sorry for what your family could be feeling. I'm sorry for what you're waking up and throwing up. I'm sorry for all of it, but my God is still a healer. He can still heal you. He can still do a miracle. He can still change your life. I know what the doctor said. I know that you found out about the infidelity, and you think the whole marriage is over, and your kids are gonna grow up in a broken home. I know all the things are going through your mind. Nothing is too hard for God. I know the business is broken, and I know you have more bills than money, and I know you're burdened by the responsibility, you don't know if you have enough in you to do the thing that he's calling you to do through you. I know that, but you need to know this, that nothing is too hard for God. If you just wait and you worship and you believe him at his word, you will see miracles happen in your life. Nothing is too hard. Nothing is too hard.
This leper pursues Jesus, asks Jesus, are you willing? Are you willing to heal me? And the and Jesus immediately heals him. You know why? Because there's nobody like Jesus. There's nobody like him. You go and look look and search. Do your study. Look up other religions. There's no one like our God.
There's no one that would come down willingly, put skin and bone on, decide to subject themselves to the temptations of this earth, fulfill the prophecies. Do you know how many prophecies and all the laws that he had to fulfill? It wasn't 10 commandments, it was 636
that he had to. Jesus was fully perfect. Do you understand that being fully perfect is not just that he didn't sin, it's also that he did what he was told to do. Being perfect is not just withholding from sin. Being perfect is doing exactly what the Lord tells you to do. Every time the Lord told him to do, he did it.
Every time God said, hey, I want you to bless that person, he blessed them. I want you to forgive that person, he forgave them. I want you to let that go. Forgive your mom. Forgive you he forgave them. There wasn't anything that God asked of Jesus that Jesus said, no. He was fully perfect. There's nobody like him.
The reason that I love preaching this gospel is because this gospel is power to those that don't know him.
It's a powerful thing for you to know that Jesus is so powerful that he secures your soul in eternity, but he also can secure blessings on this side. He can give a miracle in this side. What circumstance are you facing?
What thing are you going through right now in your family? What secret thing are you going through that the person to your right and the person to your left have no idea why you really been crying? They have no idea why you really been worried.
They have no idea what's really been going on. And maybe some of us, if we're not careful, will believe this, that God is willing to do this for them, but you're not willing to do it for me.
It's crazy to me how I was talking to even one of our volunteers, Steven, before service, and I was telling him, I said, you know what's crazy to me? Is that when I get up on the platform and I grab this mic, something comes over me. I get off the stage and I'm like, wow, God, you're so good because it does not feel like me. I promise you. I'm I'm just as shocked that God is using me as the people that are watching because I'm just so amazed that God would do this. And then what's so confusing for me is how I can get up in front of people that I do not know and preach a gospel that I do know, and I can give you so much confidence. I can pray for your life. I can pray for your blessings. I can pray that God opens up the windows of heaven. I can pray that your marriage gets strengthened. I can pray that God provide. I can look you in your eye and lay my hands on you and tell you God is faithful. God is good. It's gonna work out. Have no problem to do it. And it's so shocking to me that the same Tyshawn that can declare for you can't declare for him.
That I go home and I wonder, God, I know you're willing to do it for pastor Daniel and the people of Echo's church, but are you willing to do it for me and project salvation?
God, I know you're willing to do it for them. You you healed their marriage, God. You gave them a new Tesla. I love my 1986 Toyota, but you gave them a new Tesla, Lord. Are you willing to do it for me? Are you willing to bless my life? God, you're so faithful for my friends.
Sometimes God is so faithful even for your foes. Have you ever opened up your your your phone and you've seen an enemy get blessed? And you're like, God, so you're blessing evil people too. Okay. Alright. I didn't know ugly people got blessed, but I guess so, Lord. And God, you're blessing my sister. You're
blessing my friend. But God, are you willing to do it for me? Hear me. He's willing and he's able. He's willing and he's able. Don't get to the place in your life where you don't even take your needs to God because you don't believe he will do it.
Some people aren't praying simply because you think your prayers aren't heard. You know what Psalm teaches? He's in he inclines our ear to our prayers. That as soon as you start as soon as you even announce help, he he listens. He listens. He notices.
He wants to hear your prayer. I don't know who this is for, but stop thinking about it and talk to him about it. You think that if you just sit down and you think about it hard enough, I'm just positive thinking, positive thinking, positive thinking. No. Sometimes the thing you need is not positive thinking.
David's prayers in the bible, David who was a worshiper, who was a king, who was a warrior, David's prayers, his songs that he sang to God, not all of them were positive. Some of them sounded crazy. Some of his prayers were like this, God, kill my enemies. Kill them now, Lord. Yesterday. Break their pinky toe right now.
He would make these prayers. And when I look at the prayers, I'm like, thank God for his honesty.
Some of us go to God like this. Hey, God. I'm just so grateful for everything for my life and just for all the things. And, man, this is not working. I'm done. Amen. How about whatever's going on in your mind, whatever's been going on in your heart, whatever secrets been holding you hostage in your past,
how about you go to God and when you're alone, say, God, I I need you with this. I need your help, God, with this. If you're in this room, hear me. If you have a problem with your spending, tell the Lord. Tell him, God,
I need your help with this. Every time time I see Amazon and Target, Lord, I don't know what takes over me. I just lose it. I need your help with this.
If you're in this room and your purity, you just can't get your purity on hold, you find yourself sleeping around. You find yourself looking at porn. You find yourself giving your body away, and you keep telling yourself that the last time was the last time. I'm telling you, you go to God and say, God, I need your help with this.
I need your help, God. I don't know how I got to this place, but I can't put the bottle down. Are you willing to help me put the bottle down? God, I can't put this drug down. Are you willing to help me put this drug down? God, I can't put this shame down. Can you help me put this shame down? God, I can't stay in this situation. Are you willing to help me? And I promise you,
God will extend his hands so quick and help people. And he will help you if you call on him. I am thoroughly surprised when I open up my phone and go through social media, the kind of focus that people will give a crystal. Like, so I I woke up this morning, I was looking at my crystals,
and my crystals told me that today's gonna be a good day. A crystal told you that? A crystal. Girl, you got that from Walmart. Like, are you serious? A crystal. And I know I sound crazy, but some of you be like this. So I read my horoscope. It makes so much sense. My horoscope told me today. Your horoscope?
Your horoscope. What about the holy spirit? What about that guy? What about the guy that's right here and present? And for the new generation, you don't do horoscope. You don't do crystals. You know what you do? Do chat GPT.
You laugh, but some of you guys, if you talk to the holy spirit the way you talk to your chat, your life will be different. If you went to God the way you went to Google, your life would look different. If you went to God and said, God, are you willing to help me? I hope that you can get the
the meat of this sermon and it's simple, that he is willing and he is able. What is the need that you have? Even this morning before the first service started, I was on the side and I was praying about some things going on in my life. I texted my wife who I love so much. I've been preaching full time for almost five years.
We started off on the road when I was 27 years old. So many people do not last as an evangelist. Most people don't even last six months.
I remember going to my wife telling her I think this is what the Lord is asking us to do. I just wanna say this publicly, Victoria. Thank you for telling me. Yes. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you. Wouldn't be able to do any of this without you, and I hope you feel that.
Texted her before service. I said, babe, I'm just nervous about project salvation and this and how much everything costs. She said, pray. Pray. So worried. I wasn't even thinking about the sermon. I was thinking about my circumstance. And
before the first service, you know what I did decided to do? God, are you willing to help me? This is a lot of money to me, God, but it's not a lot of money to you. God, are you willing to help me? Can you help me with my family? Can you help me with my addiction? Can you help me with my frustration? Can you help me? And God says, can I? Oh, boy, you have no idea. Yes. I will do exceedingly,
abundantly, above anything you could ask, think, or imagine. Think about that. Anything you could ask. He says, I can do it bigger. Anything you could think, I could do it bigger. I think the greatest level of faith is imagination when you can just imagine with God, and he says, I can do it bigger.
I believe that God wants to do some miracles in people's lives, not just in this moment, but this week. I believe that people in this room are gonna experience some miracles. Miracles that they never dreamed possible. And so I wanna pray for for people in this room. If you're in here, you're saying pastor Tyshawn,
I'm in a season where I need God to do something. I I wanna know if God is willing and able. I have a circumstance
that I need some miracles for. If that's you, I want you to lift your hand when I count to three. And there's no embarrassment for this because we all have needs. I'm lifting my hand in this altar call by the way. So one, you know who you are. Two, three, just lift your hands. Who needs the prayer? Lift your hands. Lift your hands. Lift your hands. I see you can put your hands down.
For every hand lifted
and for every hand that did not have the strength to lift it because you don't think a circumstance can change it or a sermon can change it, I wanna tell you that God is gonna do something incredible in your life. I wanna say this over a couple that I that I've seen every week that I'm here. And every time I see this couple,
literally every time, I feel like I'm supposed to tell them that God hand is all over their life. And I don't know why this person has been so intimidating to me, but I'm gonna do it and it's you in the blue.
And you you just probably like a minute before you had your phone up and there's you, your I don't know if this is your son. I'm not gonna assume it's your son. It could be your cousin. So your cousin. Just your son? Your son, and then then you I don't know if I'm used to seeing you, but you come every week. Right? And God,
his hand is so evident on your life. There are so many things that he is working on that you have no idea. And I want you to know that anything of your past, anything that you look at, and anything that you wonder, it does not matter sister.
It does not matter. God has a road that's paved with goodness for you and your family. Where you're going is flowing with milk and honey. Young man, with the things that you're gonna do in this life, I can't wait to see it. I can't wait to see the man of integrity that you grow up in to be. And you're gonna be able to handle the responsibility,
times that the burden gets so happy that you don't know what to do and you wanna go to other things. You're not gonna go to other things because he's gonna make sin bitter to your lips. You're a leader amongst the friends that you hang out with. You're the influencer amongst the friends you hang out with. Your life is gonna get so weird because it's gonna be hard for you to hang out with people that aren't going where you're going. But I can tell you this is as clear as I can see you. I see where you're going. Let me tell you this is much further than I'm going. Oh, he's gonna do things in your life that make no sense. If you think that what I'm doing is great, what you're gonna do, bro, oh, I'm not even gonna be able to pelt in comparison. His hand is on your life.
And I pray as clear as you see this moment, I pray you don't forget it. I promise you, you don't need to clap. I promise you that I'm not saying this to just get emotionalism.
A man told me when I was 12 that I would do everything that I'm doing with my life. Everything he said has come true. Why do I stop service and prophesy? He did it for me, and it worked out for me, and I'm going around the world. So let me say this to you. You're gonna break generational curses. Let me say this to you. Miracles are gonna follow. You're gonna give more money to the kingdom than you ever live on in this life because God is gonna bless you exceedingly, abundantly above anything you could ask, think, or imagine. The hand of God is on you. Can we do this? I'm a pray for us, but before we can we extend our hands to this family
as a representation that we're with you? And I hope I'm not embarrassing you guys, and I hope you feel the support.
Us as a church, we're with you. Heavenly father, I thank you for this family. I thank you for this couple. I thank you for their marriage. God, I thank you for the miracles. I thank you for all the things you're gonna do. God, I pray that you lock in this moment. I pray that they don't forget this, God. I pray that you give him favor as you gave him me favor with kings.
I pray that people walk up to him like they walk up to me and just say, man, the hand of God is on you. God, I pray for whatever comes that discouragement won't kill him, but he will stay committed.
For every hand that was lifted that needs, oh, God, do a miracle, if you can just lift your hand for me again. God, thank you for every lifted hand.
God, I thank you that miracles are on their way. I thank you that you're not gonna stay in this situation, ma'am. It's gonna change. It's gonna change. It's gonna change. God is gonna do some miracles. So, I thank you for every hand that's lifted. I thank you for the miracles in the future. I thank you, Lord, that you're willing and that you're able. And with every head still bowed and every eye still closed, if you're in this room and you do not know Jesus, my job and my instruction is to lead you to that prayer. If you don't know Jesus, there's nobody like him. So if you could, when I count to three, if you wanna put your faith in Jesus Christ, I want you to lift your hands. One,
you know who you are. Two, three, lift your hands and lift your hands. We see the hands. God, you're so good. If we could repeat this prayer for those that are called, that are coming to Christ for the first time, I want everyone to say, Jesus, come into my life. Be my Lord and be my savior. Today, I put my hope,
I put my trust in you and you alone. Can we thank god for what he did, and can we stand and get ready to transition out of service?
