There's nothing magical about January 1 — your past will still be waiting for you on that day just as it is today. Pastor Daniel encourages the church to start now, letting go of past failures and disappointments and fixing their gaze on Jesus, so the momentum built in these final days of the year carries into a breakthrough 2026.

Reading Philippians 3:13-14, Pastor Daniel points out that even Paul, one of the greatest figures in the New Testament, says he has not arrived — he focuses on one thing, forgetting what lies behind. He argues we live in a multitasking culture but are called to single focus: letting go of failures, disappointments, and people who frustrated us.

Returning to Philippians 3:14 and adding 1 Timothy 4, he explains that Paul presses on toward the prize and that training for godliness is even better than physical training, promising benefit in this life and the next. Breakthrough requires striving, falling, and getting back up, not passive drifting.

Whatever disappointments, frustrations, or unforgiveness you're still carrying, make a decision to release it rather than carrying it into the new year.
Fix your gaze on Jesus
Stop focusing on what you lack or the mistakes you've made, and instead keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
